Call & Cadiz Drainage Improvements
Improvements to alleviate extensive flooding in the Call Street and Cadiz Street area. Design included the improvement of the roadway drainage system and a dam to capture the stormwater runoff as a flood control facility. Due to the extent of the drainage improvements and the condition of the existing water and sewer infrastructure, this project included both water and sewer system replacement. This project required permitting through the City of Tallahassee Growth Management, Leon County Public Works, FDEP, FDOT, NWFWMD, and CSX Railroad.

Centerville Conservation Community
Historically, Centerville Plantation was a 1,000 acre working plantation in Leon County, FL. To retain the rural plantation character of the subdivision, a conservation community was proposed including 200 residential lots, 7 miles of rural roadway and recreational amenities including trails, wildlife observation, and freshwater activities. The lot sizes were kept within 1 to 4 acres with the remaining property available as passive and active recreation area for the lot owners. Stormwater management facilities required extensive analysis and modeling to demonstrate volume recovery in severely limited soils. This project has been regarded by the local regulatory community as the model conservation subdivision, and is Florida's first conservation subdivision.

Metropolitan Center
Metropolitan Corporate Center entailed planning, PUD rezoning, design and environmental permitting for a premium mixed use development at the I-10 - US 319 (Thomasville Road) Gateway to the City of Tallahassee. This project is a marquis accomplishment for Inovia which involved an extension of Metropolitan Boulevard as a new alignment, intersection improvements including a new signal on Thomasville Road, and associated site improvements. Current plans call for construction of 200,000 sf of office, a 125 bed Hotel, restaurants and single family residences.
This project presented a number of design challenges and emphasizes Inovia’s abilities in design and problem solving. Some of the issues and challenges included design to avoid a 24” high pressure gas main that traverses the site, coordination with FDOT on improvements to I-10, and water and sewer utility extensions and fire protection for the proposed buildings.

Almand Creek Master Plan
Master planning for roadway, stormwater management, water and sewer utlities and other infrastructure elements of a master planned community. The Almand Creek Master Plan involved 448 acres including a town center with a convention center, offices, hotels, retail, and a farmers market. The residential areas include single family, and multi-family districts totaling over 5,000 units.
The Village at Almand Creek is a luxury apartment complex that is functional as well as beautiful. Inovia designed and permitted Phase 2 which consisted of a 70 acre complex with 203 housing units. A number of amenities were incorporated into the design such as a resort-style pool and associated clubhouse, volleyball courts, a nature trail through adjacent natural area, meandering dry stream bed, pedestrian bridge, and water features such as fountains and a water cascade.
-
State Road 83
Inovia was responsible for creating the design plans for milling and resurfacing SR 83 (US 331) in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. This segment of SR 83 began south of the I-10 overpass as a rural section, transitioned to an urban section through town and ended at the US 90 intersection. In addition to the resurfacing, the left turn lane at Bruce Avenue was extended to accommodate school bus traffic, which required a median closure at Park Avenue. Other improvements incorporated in the design were sidewalk and curb ramp repairs to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Inovia also facilitated utility coordination, permitting and public involvement for the Florida Department of Transportation on this project.

Lafayette Heritage Trail Pedestrian Bridge
Inovia is responsible for planning, engineering design, and construction documents for a pedestrian bridge in Tallahassee, Florida. The City of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation Department is proposing this pedestrian bridge to connect the Lafayette Heritage Trail over the CSX Railroad which extends through the eastern area of Tallahassee. This bridge is important to the community to develop a safe crossing above the railroad and to provide a signature bridge for the community. Inovia is the prime consultant on this project with DodStone Architects and Garcia Engineers as sub consultants.
